Rita Fabbri, after graduating in Architecture (1991), received a specialisation degree in Architecture Restoration (1998) at the Milan Polytechnic. She works as full researcher at the Architecture Department of the Ferrara University, since 1999, working on historic building and urban restoration (ICAR 19). She teaches the “architecture restoration synthesis laboratory” and was supervisor of many degree thesis. Her research activity is focused on theory elaboration and actual project design of restoration work on historic building at different scales, from the individual edifice to the global urban framework, with a particular emphasis on the ancient building practices. She also work on the restoration and maintenance techniques of XX Century buildings. She is the authors of many publications and communications on these topics.
