Main Research Topics
- Innovative therapeutic approaches in oncohematology: studies using leukemia cell models, particularly acute lymphoblastic leukemia and solid tumor models such as hepatocarcinoma and breast cancer cell lines.
- Role of microRNAs in oncohematology: studies focused on microRNA analysis employing acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell lines and solid tumor models such as hepatocarcinoma and breast cancer cell lines. The present research also includes the study of circulating microRNAs in urinary and blood samples from cancer patients and long-term survivors.
- Studies of intracellular signal transduction pathways and epigenetic modulation in the tumor microenvironment
- Role of microRNAs in corneal samples from patients affected by keratoconus
