Curriculum
Since the 1st of December 2020 Fabrizio Riguzzi is Full Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Ferrara.
From the 1st of November 2014 to the 30th of November 2020 he was Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Ferrara.
From the 1st of November 1999 to the 31st of October 2014 he was Researcher at the Department of Engineering of the University of Ferrara.
In 1999 he obtained his PhD degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna.
In 1995 he obtained his laurea degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Bologna.
From December 2017 January 2022 he has been vice-president of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence.
The research activity of Fabrizio Riguzzi has focused on the field of Artificial Intelligence. In such an area, he has worked on various aspects of Machine Learning, specifically in Inductive Logic Programming, Probabilistic Inductive Logic Progarmming, Statistical Relational Learning and Statistical Relational Artificial Intelligence.
He is the author of more than 200 peer reviewed papers. He was involved in four European projects, a number of local, regional and national projects and various industrial projects.
He is Editor in Chief of Intelligenza Artificiale, the official journal of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence.
He is a member of the editorial board of ACM Computing Surveys, Intelligent Data Analysis, Machine Learning &
Knowledge Extraction and Frontiers in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
He organized the Summer School on Statistical Relational Artificial Intelligence, an Advanced Course on
AI (ACAI 2018) sponsored by EurAI.
He was conference chair of ILP 2018. He was program chair of AIxIA 2015, PLP 2015, ILP 2012, CILC 2009.
He is member of the program committee of IJCAI, AAAI, ECAI, NeurIPS, ICML, AISTATS, KR, UAI, ICLR, ECML PKDD, ILP, ICLP, AIxIA.
