HARDWARE DESIGN:


t    Design of an instrument to record EKG potentials through dry skin electrodes for a General  Dynamics project (Texas A&M University 1987).

t    Design of an instrument to record Heart Valve Sounds from a variety of  electrode types (Master Thesis, 1988).

t    Design of a 3-channel bio-instrumentation amplifier for biofeedback and LF applications (Texas A&M University, 1988 -1989).


SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:

t    Design of  FILTER, a complete package for the design of analog filters. The  package was used as a teaching tool in BIEN 603 ( Dr.  Lessard, Texas A&M,  1987).

t    Design of  STA-TH, a thesis software to analyze Heart Valve sounds based on EKG signals. The package was interfacing with SAS for further statistical analyses (Master

Thesis, 1988).

t    Design of  Laboratory Sample Preparation (LSP) package, software to be used    in a biochemistry lab. The package was introduced by Dr. D. Zaglis at the  European Symposium of Computers in Medicine (Sept., 1990).

t    Design of  HERMES, a complete signal software package in DOS analyzing  a wide range of biomedical signals (Worcester Polytechnic and Boston University, 1992).

t    Developing a software platform (EOAE 2.x) for the analysis of Transiently Evoked Otoacoustic Emission data  (Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 1992-1994).

Otoacoustic Emissions Portal ( 2001 until now)

q Founder and editor in-chief of an international body of scientists dedicated to collect and make available to the public of all scientific knowledge related to Otoacoustic emissions. The  Portal's budget is based on research donations from numerous OAE manufacturers such as : GN-Otometrics, Viasys (GSI), Etymotic Research, Amplifon and LABAT.

Neonatal  Screening in Albania (2004 until now)

q In Collaboration with Prof. Birkena Qirjazi has established a screening program with funding from the Oticon foundation (Denmark) and SOROS foundation (Tirana).
