Production and characterization of nanosystems for controlled release of bioactive molecules

The research activity is mainly based on the design of nanotechnological systems, such as solid lipid nanoparticles, cubosomes and nanoparticulate gels for delivery of drugs to specific organs, such as skin, mucous and the brain. Indeed it has been previously demonstrated that nanosystems are suitable for solubilization, protection and controlled delivery of many drugs, preventing their degradation, assuring longer release kinetics and improving their pharmacological effects.
