Born in 1954, Civil Engineering, Ph.D..
He is currently Associate Professor of History of architecture at the University of Ferrara - Faculty of Architecture. between 1993 and 2012 he served at the University of Udine. He has also held courses and carried out research activities in other scientific institutions, including the universities of Bologna, Ferrara and Milan Polytechnic.

Education
- Graduated in Civil Engineering in 1980 in Bologna; dissertation thesis in History of architecture: “Rationalist presence in Emilia Romagna and the discussion about modern architecture in Italy between the two world wars”.
- Doctor’s degree in “Building and Territorial Engineering”(1988-91); dissertation thesis supported in 1992: “Analysis of the dwelling typologies in the urban centres of the Ethiopian Highland. Local tradition and italian colonial".

Research
His research work is mainly focused on historical and technical analysis of Italian contemporary architecture both in Italy and in Mediterranean area and former Italian colonies.
He has edited some books and published several essays, articles and reviews on books, proceedings and magazines (like Parametro, Rassegna, Storia urbana, Paesaggio urbano).
He has had extensive experience in architectural editing and he has organized symposia and exhibitions.
