NATIONAL FUNDED PROJECTS

It has been repeatedly responsible and scientific coordinator of local research projects (ex 60%, FAR) and participated in several research projects funded in the national interest (PRIN) headed by C. Broglio Loriga, A. Bosellini, and D. Masetti.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

The main theme of the scientific research concerns the systematics, bio- chronostratigraphy, paleobiogeography and evolutionary palaeoecology of Permian and Triassic molluscs and brachiopods with particular attention to the bioevents occurred during the end Permian mass extinction and the Early Triassic biotic recovery. A second theme concerns the palaeobiology of large and aberrant bivalves with a great rock building power.
