Specialisation in Infectious Diseases obtained at the University of Bologna. Title obtained on 12 July 2017 with a mark of 110/110 cum laude.
PhD in Molecular Medicine and Pharmacology from the University of Ferrara. Degree awarded on 22 October 2021.

November 2015: One-month molecular biology internship, carried out during the period of specialisation in Infectious Diseases, at the ‘Centre de Parasitologie-Mycologie, Médecine Tropicale et Médecine des Voyages’; Hopital l'Archet CHU, Nice (France), (Head of Prof. Pierre Marty).
October 2016: Training internship at the Laboratory of Virology of the IRCCS Materno Infantile Burlo Garofolo, Via dell'Istria, 65, 34137 Trieste (Head Prof. Manola Comar) aimed at perfecting the learning of laboratory techniques such as ELISA Luminex multiplex immunoassays.
From January 2019 to April 2019: Observership aimed at perfecting the diagnosis and treatment of peri-prosthetic and osteo-articular infections, at the multidisciplinary ortho-infectiology service of the Presidio Ospedaliero Sant'Andrea di Vercelli, Corso Mario Abbiate 21, 13100 Vercelli. Academic year 2015-2016: Winner of the ‘Admeto Pettinari e Paolo Andreini scholarship’ for attendance of higher specialisation courses in Italy and abroad, granted by CSR (Cassa di Sovvenzione e Risparmio fra il Personale della Banca d'Italia).
May 2017: Winner of an annual scholarship from the Italian Society of Infectious and Tropical Diseases (SIMIT) with the research project entitled: ‘HIV-positivity and undetectable viral load: what does it really mean? Immunological and inflammatory biomarkers as predictive markers of cardiovascular risk in virologically suppressed patients with residual viraemia’.
October 2017: Winner of the Orlando Arlotti Foundation Award with the research project entitled: ‘Study on the possible role of immunological markers as predictive determinants of cardiovascular risk in HIV patients on antiretroviral therapy and virologically suppressed’.
April 2022: Winner of the ‘Best E-Poster with oral presentation’ award at the 8th National Congress of the Italian Association of Arthroplasty (AIR) with the paper: ‘Myeloperoxidase: a new and promising marker in the diagnosis of periprosthetic infection.
