With a catchment area of about 200000 inhabitants the Geriatric Complex Unit  of  Bentivoglio presently includes:

In Hospital activity:

  • Acute Geriatric Ward   the Bentivoglio General Hospital (20 bed -around 700 admissions/year),
  • Stroke Care Area  in Bentivoglio General Hospital (6 beds  -   around 250 admission/year)
  • Long Term Care Ward (18 bed -  around 400 admissions/year),  Budrio Local Hospital

Outpatient Geriatric activity:

  • Abdominal echotomography clinic and doppler cranial ultrasound clinic
  • Geriatric  outpatients  clinic
  • Geriatric Assessment Unit in North Area of Bologna Health Trust :  about 1000 home care evaluations / year
