POSTDOCTORAL TRAINING
His research interests include energetics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer phenomena. He is the author of technical papers on non-Newtonian fluids and new-technology energetics with special reference to fuel cells and wind and solar systems.
Giacomo Bizzarri is currently Researcher (lecturer) and Aggregate Professor of Industrial Technical Physics at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Ferrara, where he is teaching Energy Control of Buildings, Technical Plants, Environmental Technical Physics and Industrial Technical Physics.
Giacomo Bizzarri received his Ph.D. in Energetics in 2003 from the University of Udine, Italy. Since 2000 he is Lecturer in Environmental Technical Physics and Industrial Technical Physics at Ferrara University, Faculty of Architecture. Since 2005, Giacomo Bizzarri is also teaching Technologies of Environmental Protection and Restoration and Energy Control of Buildings as Contract Professor at the same Faculty. Since the academic year 1999-2000 the Faculty of Architecture of Ferrara rose to national fame for its excellence having been continuously ranked at number one among Faculties of Architecture (official renowned national Censis/La Repubblica standings). Albeit run with different criteria, the AlmaLaurea University Consortium’s survey has also awarded our Faculty top academic laurels.
He is the Co-ordinator of the third and last module of the Master “Corso di Formazione e Perfezionamento Architettura Energia” issued by the University of Ferrara and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
Together with others two professors of the Faculty of Architecture, Ferrara University, he has been expert consultant for the definition of Energy norms in some local Municipalities.
He is the also the Author of the Energy Plan of the municipality of Reggio Emilia (2007).
He is the Head of E-FAF: the Laboratory of Energetics of the Faculty of Architecture.
In 1998 he was Visiting Scholar at Rice University where he followed the studies developed by Prof. Ahmad J. Durrani and Dr. Frank K. Humay, also collaborating with some experimental sessions hold at the “Ryon Lab”, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Rice University.
