Dott. Ing. Giacomo Bizzarri
nato a Reggio Emilia il 9-5-1973

Researcher of Industrial Technical Physics on permanent basis at the Department of Architecture, Deputy Director of the Research Center Architecture Energy. He received his Master Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Parma in 1999 and his Ph.D. in Energetics from the University of Udine in 2003.
He is author of more than 100 scientific contributions including Journal Articles and Conference Contributions, many of them at international level, in the fields of plant engineering, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
He is a designer of Power Plants for electricity production (mainly from solar and hydro sources) in Italy and abroad, with more than 20 years of experience. He has directed the construction works of many of these power plants.
Coordinated Research Teams within the 7th FP and H2020 European Research Projects.
Author of several energy plans on a territorial scale (among them that of the City of Reggio Emilia, he has been the recipient of several awards), he is a consultant to several Public Administrations in Northern Italy on energy and sustainability issues.
