Curriculum
Eleonora Trivellin, architect and PhD, is RTT researcher for Industrial Design at the Ferrara Department of Architecture in the Design Area. She teaches at the Bachelor's Degree Course in Industrial Product Design and the Master's Degree Course in Education, Communication and Digital Citizenship. He is a lecturer at the first- and second-level Master's Degree Course in Design and Communication for Business at the same University.
Among the most active lines of research: the valorization of territories and local productions with particular attention to the reality of social enterprises and handicrafts; temporary events as a field of experimentation for design oriented to environmental and social sustainability; projects that apply the principles of Impresa 4.0 by combining traditional manufacturing with digital devices; temporary events as a field of experimentation for design oriented to environmental and social sustainability.
In the research of the Department to which he belongs he inserts his expertise in particular in the study of techniques and materials cn particular attention to sustainable processes, referring i to planar semi-finished products and in particular to textile design.
The interest in textile design, developed in relation to the textile district of Prato, represents the application of a broader theme that today is gaining more and more importance i.e. the design of surfaces, understood not only as two-dimensional structures, but above all as elements of communication between two contexts (interior-exterior, visible-invisible...) and as a field of application of digital technologies capable of interacting with both humans and the environment.
Somehow, therefore, starting from textile design, a theoretical dimension is also investigated that is addressed to changes related to the design practices of the established fields of product design and communication.
He is on the editorial board of the class A journal MD Journal.
She is a member of the Tecnopolo of the University of Ferrara Teknehub
She is coordinator for the Ferrara Department of Architecture of the joint University-Enterprise Laboratory Communication Design for Sustainability.
