Professor Davide Sarti has been dealing with problems relating to industrial design in his monograph on "The protection of the industrial product design". Subsequently, he has been studying, in several of their aspects, the problems relating to the free movement of goods in the European Community and to the application of Italian and EC antitrust law to contracts of exploitation of patents and software in particular, and of works protected by copyright in general. The results of such study have been compiled in his monograph on "Exclusive rights and free movement of goods". They have also been further exposed in other articles, where he studied the problems of the application of antitrust law to personality merchandising contracts as well. Furthermore, he studied the juridical problems relating to the subjects contributing to the functioning of Internet.
More recently, professor Sarti has studied some aspects of trademark protection and protection of geographical indications in the EU, law of competition in the credit and financial market.
Actually, professor Sarti is studying problems relating to collective administration of intellectual property rights: formerly with special attention to TV-sport rights management and competition law; and now with attention to the European directive on collective management of copyright and related rights.
