Caterina Colombo (Padua, 1959), MSc in Economics at London School of Economics, PhD in Economics at the University of Bologna. From 1990 to 1998 she was lecturer in Economics at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ferrara and from 1998 to 2001 associate professor of Economics at the University of Bari [Faculty of Law (1998-99) and Faculty of Political Science (1999-2001)]. From 2001 to 2005 she was associate professor and from 2005 full professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ferrara
Her research activities developed in the field of the microfoundations of macroeconomics. In the most recent years her research interests have been concentrated on several topics within the framework of macroeconomic analysis with imperfect competition and related to the inefficiency properties of the macroeconomic equilibrium and to income distribution, consumption pattern and market structure.
