DIDACTIC AND RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Graduation thesis in Architectural Design entitled: “Suburban Railway Rome P.le Flaminio-Viterbo; Prima Porta Station Design”
Supervisor prof. Maria Luisa Anversa; assistant supervisor prof. Giangiacomo D’Ardia (published)

From November 1990 to March 1998 he carries out didactic and educational activity within Design studio I and II held by prof. Giangiacomo D’Ardia in University of Chieti-Pescara, School of Architecture, holding design seminaries entitled “Infrastructure Design”, with particular attention to rail and river infrastructures. Within the course he carries out a series of theoretical lessons and is assistant supervisor to some graduation thesis. Works by students in 1993-94 and 1994-95 are exposed at the exhibition “Inventing a new landscape – 50 projects for the port area of Ortona” in Ortona, Palazzo Farnese february 9 to march 1 1996 and published on the catalogue “Progetto Ortona” within the series “Ossimori” by D.A.U. from University of Pescara.

In 1990 he wins second prize for 1 fellowship issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with a research proposal entitled “Rail Architecture Buildings and their impact over natural and urban environment: Italy-Switzerland, a comparison” to be developed in the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale in Losanna, Departement d'Architecture.

In 1991 he wins a fellowship issued by CNR (National Research Council) with a research proposal entitled “Rail Architecture Buildings and their impact over natural and urban environment” to be developed in the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale in Losanna, Departement d'Architecture.

In 1992 he accomplishes the Improvement course in Architecture Theory in University of Rome “La Sapienza”

In 1992 he is admitted to attend the Architectural Design PHd, accomplished in 1996, in Architectural and Urban Design Department of University of Rome “La Sapienza”, with a design thesis entitled “Rail Spaces, Rail Times. Urban Spaces, Urban Times”.

In 1992 he is selected to participate to an international workshop organized by the International Union of Architects in Barcellona, Spain

In 1997 he wins the competition and in 1998 he becomes Teaching Fellow in architectural design in University of Ferrara, School of Architecture

In 2003 he teaches at the Master in Urban Renovation organized
by the International Study Centre OIKOS and Ferrara School of Architecture.

In 2006 he teaches at the Master in Management of Museum Heritage organized by MUSEC, University of Ferrara.

In 2002-2003 he is substitute adjunct professor in University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Valle Giulia School of Architecture.


UNIVERSITY ACTIVITY

In 1999-2000 and 2000-2001 he is tenured professor of the Course of Landscape and Infrastructures Architecture. In 2001-2002 he holds Final Synthesis Design Studio. Form 2002-2003 he is tenured professor of the Design Studio III

He is responsible designer, within the school design team, for the New Building for University of Ferrara, School of Economics, inside the historical Palazzo Costabili-Bevilaqua in the historical centre of Ferrara, opened in September 2006 (Construction Design-Artistic Management) and the Cultural and Didactic Centre inside ex-lyceum Cevolani in the historical centre of Cento (FE) (Preliminary design-Feasibility study)

He is supervisor of numerous graduation thesis with subjects connected to rail and river infrastructures and landscape at University of Ferrara and “Valle Giulia” in Rome

In 2002 he responsible coordinator of a working team from Ferrara School of Architecture to develop a research sponsored by ENEL related to environmental study of the coal conversion of the Thermo-electric Plant of Porto Tolle (RO)

He is among the promoters of a National Research Sponsored by MURST (2000-2002) entitled “Architecture and infrastructure in the landscape between Po river and Adriatic sea”

In 2002-2003 he is substitute professor in the “Interior Design Studio” in University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Valle Giulia
School of Architecture

In 2006 he is coordinator for University of Ferrara of the Workshop-International Exhibition in Jesi-Viale Vittoria, organized by Politecnica Uiniversity of Marche Region

In 2006 he is coordinator for University of Ferrara of the Workshop-International Exhibition “Learning from the cities”, organized by Venice Architecture Biennale, responsible Richard Burdett
