MAIN RESEARCH TOPICS:
Well posedness of the Cauchy problem for evolution equations, more precisely:
- hyperbolic equations with coefficients of low regularity with respect to time;
- hyperbolic equations with characteristics of variabile multiplicity and Levi conditions;
- p-evolution equations with real characteristics (p=2 Schrödinger's equation, p=3 Korteweg-de-Vries equation, ... );
- stochastic pdes: existence and uniqueness of random field solutions, existence and uniqueness of function-valued solutions.
Considering equations with either uniformly bounded in space coefficients or coefficients having a polynomial growth/decay as |x| goes to infinity, I get results of well posedenss (local or global) of the Cauchy problem, by means of either the energy method or the construction of the fundamental solution, and study the propagation of singularities of the solution.

(These short notes are addressed to high school students who wish to enroll in undergraduate courses in Engineering at the scientific and educational Polo in Cesena. Introduces some parts of the course syllabus Analysis A through problems and applications. - ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES ADDRESSED TO STUDENTS OF HIGH SCHOOLS:
-- every year the degree Courses in Mathematics organize in the month of June at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science a stage of 20 hours for students of the fourth year of high school. I had seminars of 90 minutes, entitled "Probability: born to win" in the editions 2013, 2012, 2011 of the stage
-- every year the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science organizes, in the field of Piano Lauree Scientifiche, seminars for high school students who access the provincial phase of the Mathematical Olympiad. I held seminars lasting 2 hours each (topic: combinatorics and calculation of probability) every year since 2011/12; the seminars were held at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Ferrara, at the Liceo Scientifico Roiti in Ferrara, at the Liceo Paleocapa in Rovigo.
-- since 2012, I hold every year seminars of presentation of the degree courses in Mathematics, University of Ferrara, in various high schools of Ferrara, Rovigo, Ravenna, Padova; since 2014 I also hold presentations of degree courses in Mathematics during the Orientation Forum of the University of Ferrara, which is held annually in Ferrara in February.

- In 2009 I worked as revisor of a college textbook at the request of the publisher McGraw-Hill.
