June 15th, 1990 – July 31st , 1990: Stage business at the quality control laboratories of the chemical farm “ENICHEM” in Ferrara on the subject: Quality control of plastic and industrial waste through technical gas cromatography and viscosimetry”.

 

July 1991: Diploma as chemical expert achieved at the “N. Copernico” Technical Institute of Ferrara with the vote of 46/60

 

July 20th, 1995: Biotecnology degree, with full marks and honours, achieved in the University of Ferrara discussing the thesis: “Synthesis  and cytotoxicity studies of bioactive compounds from Melodorum Fruticosum (Annonaceae)”. The thesis work has been developed at the laboratories of Organic Chemistry of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Ferrara under the guide of Prof. V. Zanirato.

 

October 2nd, 1996 – April 30th, 1997: Education grant (CARIFE’) at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the University of Ferrara on the subject: Development of a new methodology of in situ RT-PCR”.

 

October 25th , 1999: Full honours degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology (Italian CTF) achieved at the University of Ferrara discussing the thesis: “Studies toward the synthesis of Eleuthesides” developed in the Organic Chemistry laboratories  of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. G.P. Pollini.

 

February 12th, 2003 PhD in Pharmaceutical Science achieved at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science of the University of Ferrara discussing a thesis entitled “Synthesis of non-peptide antagonists of the ORL-1 receptor”. I spent my last year of PhD working in the laboratory of organic chemistry of Cambridge University under the supervision of Prof S. Ley.

 

March 2003 Fellow from the SPINNER (FSE).

 

June 2003- December 2005: CEO of UFPeptides s.r.l. Spin-off company of the University of Ferrara.

 

March 2004-March 2006. Research fellow at the department of Pharmaceutical Science of  University of Ferrara under the guidance of Prof. S. Salvadori for the synthesis of 1,3,4 trisubstituted piperidine.

 

From January 2006 till December 2007 contractors for UFPeptides s.r.l. using a found PRRIITT Regione Emilia Romagna 2005-2007 to develop solid phase synthesis and mass spectrometry analysis.

 

March 2008. Research fellow at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science of the University of Ferrara under the guidance of Prof. S. Salvadori for the synthesis of NOP ligands (agonists and antagonists).

 

November  17th , 2008: Full honours degree in Medical-Pharmaceutical Biotechnology achieved at the University of Ferrara discussing the thesis: “Synthesis of non peptide agonists of the Nociceptin Orphanin F/Q receptor” developed in the Medicinal Chemistry laboratories  of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. S. Salvadori.

 

October 1st, 2010, Researcher at the Department of Pharmaceutical Science of the University of Ferrara SSD CHIM/06, Organic Chemistry.
