June 2024 – Present: Assistant Professor RTT (ECON-06, Business Administration) at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Ferrara.  She holds the National Scientific Qualification for Associate Professor in Sector 13/B1 (Business Administration) since October  2022.

Maternity leave taken from December 30, 2023, to May 30, 2024.

Prizes and awards

• 2026: Best Junior Contribution to the Theory and Practice Award of Intangibles, IC and Sustainability (Co-runner up) for "Sustainability stewardship: a holistic approach to intellectual capital management and governance" (20th EIASM Conference).
• 2025: "Gigi Guglielmini" Award (3rd place, best paper) by the European Journal of Volunteering and Community-based Projects for the paper “Accounting for the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on healthcare professionals…”
• 2025: Best Paper in Accounting (Year 2023) in The British Accounting Review for the paper “Digital information systems in support of accountability…”.
• 2023: "Gigi Guglielmini" Award (2nd place, best social impact evaluation report) for the report on the social impact of the Il Martello Association in Ferrara.
• 2021: Best Paper Award (5th PISB Workshop) for research on circular economy practices in innovative SMEs during the Covid-19 crisis.

Visiting Academic Positions

Sept 11–28, 2015: Visiting Period at the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR), School of Management, St. Andrews University (Scotland), under the supervision of Prof. Jan Bebbington.

Teaching Activities

Master’s: Since 2020, tenured professor for Management and E-Governance of PA (9 ECTS). Since 2024, teaches Strategic Control & Performance Management (3 ECTS; previously led in 2019, 8 ECTS). Since 2022, teaches Planning & Control in Public Healthcare for Medicine. Previously taught Healthcare Economics and Healthcare Management.

Bachelor’s: Since 2024, teaches General & Applied Accounting (1 ECTS). Taught Biotechnology Business Management (2020) and business models (2015–17). Provided seminar support for Business Administration (2018–20).

Postgraduate: Lectures in executive healthcare programs on sustainability metrics, HTA, and EU funds. Teaches Warehouse Management and leads distance-learning modules in cost budgeting and health economics.

PhD Level: Board Member of the Doctoral Programs in Sustainability/Innovation at UniFe (ay 21/22, 25/26, 26/27). Delivers qualitative research seminars since 2020 and supervised 1 PhD project.

National and International Collaborations

December 2022 – Present: Member of the international Research Unit on "Sustainability and digitalization in textile companies" with PUCPR (Brazil) and Autonomous University of Lisbon.

May 12, 2022 – Present: Coordinator of the Italian Foundation of Business Reporting Working Group on sustainability reporting in public healthcare organizations.

2016–2022: Research Unit member of the Project commissioned by the Ministry of Health, Finalized Research, Youth Section 2016, GR-2016-02364886 - "Efficacy and Cost-Effectiveness Assessment of Graduated Elastic Stockings in Occupational Exposure to Gravity".

2017 – 2018: Research Unit member for the project (CFR - Social Security Institute of San Marino) - "Strategic planning, control, and accountability systems: organizational alignment and innovation at the Social Security Institute (ISS) of the Republic of San Marino".

2017–2020: Research Unit member for the project “Studio SIGO Cost-effectiveness PMA”, focused on the economic evaluation of medically assisted reproduction techniques across six Italian centres.

• 2013–2014: Project Contract Researcher for SIFO on the project "Drug distribution in PHT", assessing the efficiency of Direct Distribution (DD) vs. Distribution on behalf of the NHS (DPC).
• 2020–2021: International Grant Evaluator for the National Science Centre (Poland) for the PRELUDIUM-21 scheme (Panel HS4) and Peer Reviewer for the Fondazione di Sardegna 2017 Competitive Grant Call.

Administrative Role and Position Responsibility

Coordination: She is the Vice-Coordinator of the Bachelor’s degree (LT) in Economics at the University of Ferrara.

Academic Leadership: Co-Director of the Advanced Training Course in Pharmacy Management.  She’s also a member of the Teaching Committee for the Undergraduate Degree Programme in Economics, and the Master’s Degree Programmes in International Small Businesses and Green Economy and in Economia e Management per la Creazione di Valore, and member of the Departmental Student Orientation Committee at the University of Ferrara.

Scientific organizations: She is the Coordinator (with Prof. Emidia Vagnoni) of the OIBR (Italian Body for Business Reporting) Working Group on Sustainability Reporting in Public Healthcare Organizations.  Member of the COVALES and COVALES Young Scholars group on public value creation.

Editorial Activity

Editorial advisory board member of the International Journal of Accounting and Information Management.

She has been Associate Editor for The International Journal of Environmental, Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability: Annual Review - Volume 12 (2016).
