Research Area: Operations Management

Since 1998, Dr Chiarini's research interests has comprised Operations Management and CSR, in particular Lean, TQM, Industry 4.0, Six Sigma, ISO 9001-14001 and other management systems
From 2006 to 2012 he conducted international research at Sheffield Hallam University-UK in Six Sigma in the European Public Healthcare with Full Professors Kadim Al-Shagana and John McAuley.
Since 2012 he has been conducting research with Full Professor Emidia Vagnoni on topics such as World-Class Manufacturing, Sustainability and Health Care
In 2015 he published a book in collaboration with the Buckingham University - UK for celebrating the 25th anniversary of Lean Thinking principles.
In 2016 - 2017 he carried out research along with the London South Bank University and the University College of London (UCL) - UK in Sustainability and CSR in the Public Healthcare.
He is currently conducting research on Industry 4.0 subject with SDA Bocconi and Catholic University of Milan.
