Salvatore Madonna graduated in business economics in 1995 at the University of Pisa and received his PhD in 1998 at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. In 2000 he passed the National Academic Qualification as Academic Researcher at the Faculty of Economics (University of Pisa). He was Associate Professor at the Faculty of Economics (University of Ferrara) from 2002 to November 2006, when he became Full Professor.
His research mainly focuses on financial statement analysis, company performance measurement, value creation and evaluation, corporate reporting, human capital, corporate crisis, tourist industry management focused on accommodation facilities.

TEACHING
He taught in the Universities of Pisa, Sassari and Ferrara, on the following courses:
• General and Applied Accounting, involving double-entry bookkeeping in the perspective of corporate reporting redaction;
• Financial Statements Analysis, involving the study of corporate reporting and of financial disclosure;
• Financial Accounting Measurement and Reporting, on the topic of value creation, measurement and corporate reporting;
• Financial Statement, on drafting and informational power of financial statements, both for value creation and for responding to stakeholders need;
• Financial Statement Accounting and Analysis, on drafting and analyzing corporate financial disclosure;
• Professional Technique, on managing and reporting extraordinary corporate operations;
• Corporate Capital Evaluation, on value creation and evaluation;
• Economy of Tourist Companies, on managing and reporting tourist companies activity from the perspective of value creation, stakeholders need and corporate disclosure.
