Her main research topics include:
-Analysis of the role of glycosaminoglycans on cell differentiation;
-In vitro studies concerning the effects of chondroprotective agents on articular cartilage metabolism to evaluate their potential therapeutic use;
-Effects of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure on human osteoblasts;
-Analysis of the effects of electromagnetic fields and adenosine receptors on the metabolism of human chondrocytes, bovine chondrocytes and cartilage explants and synovial fibroblasts;
-Pharmacogenetic studies in human haematological diseases.
