His research interests cover the following areas 1) Psychiatric and psychosocial dimensions of life-threatening illnesses (especially cancer); 2) Prevalence, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric comorbidity in the General Hospital; 3) Anxiety, depression and stress related disorders in the general population; 4) Rehabilitation Psychiatry. Author of more 200 publications, 40 chapters of books and six international books for Oxford University Press, Wiley, Springer.
