SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
My research is mainly devoted to the study and construction of numerical methods and mathematical models for partial differential equations of hyperbolic and kinetic type. These problems were addressed in several fields of applied sciences (gas dynamics, semiconductors, plasma physics, granular materials, porous media, thin films, shallow water, quantum mechanics, traffic flow, socio-economics, finance, etc..) and the results reported in more than 120 scientific publications and 4 books.
