Gabriele Lelli graduates at the Architecture School in Florence with Adolfo Natalini. Since 1993 he is a contract professor in Architecture and Urban Composition and actually he is responsable of the final synthesis laboratory A2 at the Architecture School of Ferrara. He has done critics at the Syracuse University (1998), he has thought at the Seminario internacional de arquitectura industrial, Pais Vasco, Vitoria (1998, 1999). He collaborates to the didactic and research activities at the IUAV with Massimo Carmassi, and he cooperates with Atelier Peter Zumthor.
Since 1992 he opens a studio together with Davide Cristofani. They have received the Premio ANDIL Opera Prima (2000, first place); the Premio Luigi Cosenza (2000, mention); the Premio Internazionale Dedalo MInosse (2001, under 40, first place); the Premio Internazionale Borromini Giovani (2001, three nominations). In 2001 they were selected and invited to participate to the international competition Projektwettbewerbe Opernhaus in Zurich (with D.Moderini) and they won the national competition for the arrangement of the square in the historic centre of Gonzaga (MN). In 2002 they are within those invited for the Novoli, Florence, area west project ("Casabella" n. 703, 2002) and for the Biennial of architecture in Venice (Next City and Lonely Living). Recently they are published in "Casabella. Giovani architetti italiani.
