B. RESEARCH ACTIVITY


The research activity has focused on the general field of business economics. In particular, the main research interested has been on the role of accounting during processes of organizational change. The methodological approaches followed both qualitative and quantitative approached through surveys, case studies analysis and action research. Besides the research activity was conducted also through an historical perspective.
Starting from the common theoretical and methodological basis of the Business Economics studies (Economia Aziendale), the research activity was conducted in different organizational settings.
The main research areas studies can be the followings:
1) Accounting and performance measurement and evaluation systems
2) Inter-organizational Governance and accountability in public services
3) Accounting and organizational changes in public services
4) The role of management accounting technologies during organizational changes.
5) Performance management systems in the public sector: design and use
6) Social and environmental accounting and reporting in local authority.
