RESEARCH ACTIVITY
The research activity of Gianluca Campo is mainly focused on ischemic heart disease and in particular on myocardial infarction. The research activity ranges from basic research (endothelial function, oxidative stress, platelet aggregation, reperfusion injury) to investigator driven monocentre and multicentre studies (myocardial infarction, drug eluting stent, fractional flow reserve, strategies of revascularization, regimen of dual antiplatelet therapy, exercise program) to sponsored multicentre trials (local principal investigator or member of steering committees). Gianluca Campo won several competitive grants from public and private companies to support hi research activities.
